A Sustainable Hideaway in the Galápagos
Born out of the love for protecting the natural habitat of the Galápagos Giant Tortoise, the beautifully appointed and fully sustainable villa project is located on 43-acres of private land on the island of Santa Cruz, Galápagos. The owners, your hosts, Reyna and Roberto, created this one-of-a-kind retreat with sustainability at the core of their project – the property produces most of its energy, harvests rainwater, supplies from its own organic farm, and has the lowest environmental footprint on the islands.
No big groups, no pressure, just nature at its purest. It is a privileged place, it is part of The Galápagos Giant Tortoises Territory, the natural migration path of this species on Santa Cruz Island. The property’s land has been reclaimed to recover native and endemic vegetation that sustain the Giant Tortoises. The property is part of the ‘Galápagos Tortoise Movement Ecology Programme’ that supports research of Giant Tortoises.
Activities
Reyna & Roberto, your local hosts, will look after your stay and ensure that you make the most of your trip in the Galápagos Islands. Both are naturalist guides, with a profound knowledge of the islands and being locals, they have the right contacts to create unique experiences for your trip. Kayaking, paddle boarding and surfing in amazingly clear waters; swimming and snorkeling with playful marine wildlife; hiking, cycling, and scootering along the islands, are some of the activities on offer. Combine the exploration of the unique Galápagos wildlife with signature experiences.
Islands
There are plenty of excursions we can offer for your trip. In the island of Santa Cruz, you can explore pristine beaches like Tortuga Bay, surreal lava tunnels and creeks, and the hustle and bustle of Galápagos main town, Puerto Ayora, where you will visit the Charles Darwin Station and the Galápagos National Park to learn the story of the famous ‘Lonesome George’. We also include explorations to other islands, Santa Fe, Bartolome, Plazas, Seymour, to name a few. We work with a small selection of the finest small day yachts to visit these nearby islands, either shared or on charter basis.
Wildlife
Regarded as a living laboratory of evolution by Charles Darwin, the Galápagos hosts a variety of spectacular wildlife: blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, flamingos, penguins, marine iguanas, land iguanas, and of course, the most iconic of them all, the Galápagos Giant Tortoises, which give the islands their name. A trip offers the perfect balance between land and sea, observing the wildlife colonies of different reptiles and birds on the land trails, and spending lots of time in the water looking for sharks, marine turtles and rays, whilst swimming with playful sea lions.
Culinary
Combine exploring the natural wonders of Galápagos with a farm-to-table foodie experience. Hosts Roberto and Reyna will guide you through a culinary tour around Ecuador exploring different flavors, aromas and recipes prepared by local chefs in your own villa’s open kitchen – give it a try at the kitchen and learn their secrets. Most of the property's produce is organic and as close to the source as possible to ensure freshness and a low environmental footprint in each dish – the ultimate farm-to-table experience. Unmissable is your morning cup of coffee, organically and lovingly grown at the estate's own coffee plantation. The menu includes Ecuadorian and international gastronomy, and our chefs can cater for your special dietary needs, whether vegan, pescatarian, vegetarian, gluten-free or lactose-free, we have options for you.

Featured Bedroom Facilities
Temperatures fluctuate between 85F and 60F (30⁰C to 15⁰C) on a daily basis. The garúa season extends from mid-May until mid-December – it is characterized by less sunny days and an intermittent mist or drizzle that strikes mostly the southern and central islands on their south side, creating a rain shadow effect that keeps the northern coasts sunnier. It is influenced by the southern trade winds and Humboldt Current that comes directly from the Antarctic. This brings a milder weather to the islands with temperatures that will range on daily bases from 78F to 55F (26⁰C to 13⁰C).
Electrical Current
The property runs 100% with solar energy, using 120 V 60 Hz outlets configuration at the accommodations that are also the same as in the U.S. Feel free to bring your regular appliances like battery charges – no power converters or outlet adapters will be necessary.
Internet Availability
The villa offers internet service. Please be aware that on the islands the service won’t be as fast as yours at home, but it will be good enough to check your e-mails.
Laundry
In your rooms you will find a laundry bag provided. It has a cost of $20 USD per bag.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the Galápagos National Park nor in the villa. You can smoke outside in any deck but not inside the villa.
