The estate was lovingly restored by a Roman architect who applied bio-architectural principles to create an estate of elegant harmony with the rural surroundings, featuring 4 beautiful buildings clustered around a dreamy private pool. The complex features a main house, the trulli, and two guest cottages, the lamia and saraceno. The splendid trulli are beautiful stone buildings with conical roofs traditional to the area, renovated and restored with fine materials and equipped with every contemporary comfort without altering the original character. The natural stones of the walkways, perimeter walls and building complex mix seamlessly into the rich green and earth tones of the surrounding landscape. The whitewashed slate roofs of the trulli, the green-blue frames of the doors and windows, and the dazzling pool in the heart of the complex add a dash of color and joy.
The lamia, one of the guest cottages, sits beside the main house and opens onto a lovely terrace with an outdoor BBQ area featuring a pizza oven and dining table, perfect for a cooking class or dining al fresco. The two remaining bedrooms, with a shared bathroom, are located in the saraceno, the second guest cottage situated in the gardens behind the main house and lamia.
The interiors are a beautiful blend of modern design and traditional architecture enlivened by the owner’s curated contemporary art collection featuring works by young, aspiring artists from Italy and abroad. The main house looks out over the pool and is composed of a spacious living room, with a large built-in sofa, a dining area, the kitchen and two en suite bedrooms.
